GRAND TOUR OF GREECE - 7 DAYS

DAY 1: ATHENS - MYCENAE -EPIDAURUS-NAFPLION

We begin our tour with a short stop at CORINTH Canal. Drive to MYCENAE where you visit the archaeological site and then on to NAFPLION. In the afternoon drive to EPIDAURUS where you will visit the archaeological site and the theatre famous for its remarkable acoustics. Return to NAFPLION for dinner and overnight.

DAY 2: NAFPLION - OLYMPIA

Drive by central Peloponnese passing the cities of MEGALOPOLIS and TRIPOLIS. Arrive in OLYMPIA. In the afternoon visit the archaeological site and the museum. Dinner and overnight in OLYMPIA.

DAY 3: OLYMPIA - DELPHI 

Morning drive via PATRAS to RION where you cross by bridge to ANTIRRION and drive through NAFPAKTOS to DELPHI. Visit the archaeological site. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.    Dinner and overnight in DELPHI.

DAY 4:DELPHI - METEORA - KALAMBAKA

In the morning, visit the museum of DELPHI. Then start the drive through the central Greek towns of AMPHISSA, LAMIA and TRIKALA, to KALAMBAKA. Spend the afternoon visiting the breathtaking METEORA. Dinner and overnight in KALAMBAKA.

DAY 5: KALAMBAKA - THESSALONIKI

Drive by TRIKALA and LARISSA to the famous, sacred Macedonian town of DION Then continue to THESSALONIKI, the largest town in Northern Greece. Visit the most interesting museum of THESSALONIKI and a sightseeing tour of the city. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 6:PELLA - VERGINA  

Morning drive to PELLA, Alexander the Great's birthplace. Continue to VERGINA to visit the Tomb of  King PHILIP and the famous "VERGINA TREASURES". Then, on to LEFKADIA, where you will visit the excavations. Return to THESSALONIKI via VERIA. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 7: THESSALONIKI - ATHENS

Start the return drive to ATHENS, through the TEMPI VALLEY, LARISSA, LAMIA and THERMOPYLAE where you will stop for a visit of the monument commemorating the ancient battle that took place there. You will also drive through KAMMENA VOURLA on your drive back to ATHENS.
