CORINTH CANAL – ANCIENT CORINTH – CENCHREAE – 5 HOURS
Drive along the coastal road of the Saronic Gulf to the historic Corinth Canal, a short photo stop. Arrive at ancient Corinth (Acts 18:1-18). It was to this megalopolis where the Apostle Paul came, worked and established a thriving church, subsequently sending two of his epistles, now part of the New Testament. Visit all the sites associated with his ministry: the Agora, the Temple of Apollo, the Roman Odeon, the Bema and Gallio’s Seat. Before returning to your ship we shall also make a short stop at the ancient port of Cenchreae. Here the Apostle Paul cut his hair, before setting sail for Syria with Priscilla and Aquila

Firstly visit the Acropolis with the famous Parthenon and Erechtheion. After continue to the Ancient Agora on foot. The Agora, now in ruins, was formerly the commercial hub of ancient Athens and birthplace of politics and philosophy. Socrates is known to have discussed philosophy with his friends in the Stoa of Zeus Eleftherios. Here the apostle Paul reasoned with the most sceptical audience he met in the course of his travels. There will be some free time to walk around Plaka where you could have a drink in one of the picturesque cafes by the agora.
