Bible study tour with 12-night cruise to Greece, Israel, Malta and Italy

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 29th : ATHENS ARRIVAL
Arrival at Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” and transfer to the hotel. Check-in. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight.

MONDAY, OCTOBER 30th : ATHENS CITY TOUR
Enjoy a morning sightseeing tour of Athens, including a visit to the Acropolis & Mars’ Hill (Areopagus) (Acts 17:22) where Apostle Paul delivered his soul-stirring sermon, as well as a panoramic tour of the highlights of the city. Rest of the day is free to wander through the Plaka and Monastiraki districts, where old combines with new as you discover shops and restaurants full of Greek delicacies.

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 31st : ANCIENT CORINTH TOUR - CRUISE EMBARKATION
Drive along the coastal road of the Saronic Gulf to the historic Corinth Canal, a short photo stop. Arrive at ancient Corinth (Acts 18:1-18). It was to this megalopolis where the Apostle Paul came, worked and established a thriving church, subsequently sending two of his epistles, now part of the New Testament. Visit all the sites associated with his ministry. We will also view from the bus the ancient port of Cenchrea, before returning to Athens for embarkation on the 12-Night Mediterranean Cruise. Sail at 6:00 p.m. Mykonos, Greece.

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 1st : MYKONOS, GREECE
At 8:00 a.m. we arrive at Mykonos. It combines the dazzling white beauty of a typical Cycladic island with a sophisticated international jet-set atmosphere with a very active nightlife. Stroll at leisure through the whitewashed, flower-decked alleyways to the sculpture church of Paraportiani or along the waterfront of «Little Venice» to the well-known windmills-picture taking at its best. Or take one of the optional shore excursions offered by the cruise. Sail to Rhodes, Greece at 6:00 p.m.

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 2nd : RHODES, GREECE
At 7:00 a.m. we arrive at Rhodes. Today our optional excursion takes us to visit the Temple of Athena on the majestic rocky Acropolis of Lindos, with the blue Aegean Sea beneath it and the sophisticated, whitewashed artists' colony at its foot. Local tradition has it that on his way to Rome; Paul’s vessels spent some time here in the small harbor (Acts 21:1). Afternoon free at Rhodes town for a most delightful experience. You can stroll around the medieval walled city; enjoy the cosmopolitan atmosphere from one of the elegant cafes in the marina. Sail for Haifa, Israel at 6:00 p.m.

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 3rd : AT SEA
Today we shall spend the day at sea. Opportunity to relax and enjoy the ship facilities and activities.

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 4th : HAIFA, ISRAEL
At 7:00 a.m. our cruise-ship will dock at Haifa, starting point for our optional shore excursion. Follow in the footsteps of Jesus as you explore Galilee and Nazareth on this full-day tour. Begin your day with a visit to the River Jordan, where John baptized Jesus, before heading to the Church of Multiplication. Continue to Capernaum for a rare view of the ancient synagogue where Christ preached. Then, wind your way to Nazareth, where you'll visit the Basilica of the Annunciation. Return to the ship and sail for Ashdod at 10:00 p.m.

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 5th : ASHDOD, ISRAEL
Arrive at Ashdod at 7:00 a.m. Optional tour to Jerusalem: Enjoy a breathtaking view of the entire city from the Mount of Olives (Matt 24:3), walk down to the Garden of Gethsemane (Matt 26:36-44) on Palm Sunday Route. Visit the Room of the last Supper (Mark 14:12-26) and David’s Tomb. Continue on foot into the Walled City to the Jewish Quarter, here we see the Cardo and Western (Wailing) Wall. Next enjoy the panoramic view of the Dome of the Rock on the Temple Mount before continuing to the Christian Quarter and visit St. Ann’s crusader church, the Lithostrotos, Antonia Fortress and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre (Matt 23:27). Overnight on board.

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 6th : ASHDOD, ISRAEL
Our optional full day tour starts with a drive on the roads descending to the east of Jerusalem including the Shepherds’ Fields, identified in ancient times with the shepherds who saw the Star of Nativity. We arrive at Bethlehem, the biblical birthplace of Jesus. We head down to the Dead Sea (429 m / 1,407 ft below sea level) and continue to its shores. The salt concentration fluctuates around 31.5%. This is unusually high and results in a nominal density of 1,24kg/liter. Anyone can easily float because of natural buoyancy. We will ascend by cable car to the top of Masada fortress, one of Israel's most popular tourist attractions. Return to the ship and sail to Chania (Crete), Greece at 5:00 p.m.

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 7th : AT SEA
Today we shall spend the day at sea. Opportunity to relax and enjoy the ship facilities and activities.

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 8th : CHANIA (CRETE), GREECE
At 7:00 a.m. we call at the port of Chania on the island of Crete. Take an optional excursion and discover the Venetian heritage of Crete as you explore the town of Chania and its impressive landmarks. Your tour begins at the British Commonwealth War Cemetery, the resting place of 1527 of the known 2000 British Commonwealth soldiers. Continue to Agia Triada Monastery (Holy Trinity) of Jagarolon, dating back to the end of the Venetian occupation of Crete. Afterward, enjoy free time to explore Chania and its array of neoclassical mansions and Venetian fortifications. Sail to Valetta, Malta at 5:00 p.m.

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 9th : AT SEA
Today we shall spend the day at sea. Opportunity to relax and enjoy the ship facilities and activities.

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 10th : VALLETTA, MALTA
Arrival at Valletta at 7:00 a.m. The island of Malta or Melita (Acts 28:1) was a Roman possession in the days of the Apostle Paul. St. Paul's Bay, is a small inlet on the north side of the island, opening towards the East, and is noted as the scene of the Apostle’s shipwreck. The Apostle spent three months in Malta, and performed many miracles there. Enjoy an optional shore excursion and discover the highlights of Malta as you explore its historic cities, ancient landmarks, and beautiful vistas or explore the ancient walled cities of Mdina and Valletta while touring the picturesque countryside. Sail to Rome, Italy at 8:00 p.m.

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 11th : AT SEA
Today we enjoy the cruise-ship facilities.

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 12th : DISEMBARKATION AT CIVITAVECCHIA/ROME, ITALY
At 5:00 a.m. we dock at Civitavecchia/Rome. Disembark after breakfast.
