Shore Excursions SantoriniSANTORINI ISLAND SANTORINI ISLAND THIRA TOWN & OIA VILLAGE (3 hours) Disembark at the Old port in Thira (not Athinios). Thira is an attractive town perched on the Caldera rim. In Thira you will take a cable car up to the top of the Caldera. Here, you will have free time to explore the lanes of this little town. You will continue your tour with a drive to the quaint village of Oia. Built on the Caldera rim, Oia Village is an excellent example of Cycladic architecture. With your escort, explore the village walking along the cobble-stoned streets and the white washed houses with blue shutters. Return to Thira and your ship. Note: You might want to consider the option of including a visit to the prehistoric museum while on the island. If this is something you are interested in, please mention it when you request your shore excursion. |
