April – October

Day 1: ARRIVAL
 Arrival to Athens. Transfer to the hotel. Welcome to a city rich in history and culinary magnificence! The Athenians have been making wine and perfecting the Mediterranean cuisine for the past 4,000 years. Greek food is an evolution of Western and Eastern traditions in the kitchen, which we will help you discover and taste for yourself in the next few days!

Day 2: ATHENS CITY TOUR
Enjoy a half day tour of Athens. Drive by the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in front of the Parliament House on Constitution Square, the Panathenian Stadium (site of the first modern Olympic Games in 1896). Visit the Roman Temple of Olympian Zeus and the crowning beauty and glory that were Athens, the Acropolis with its many monuments atop its rocky base, including the awesome Parthenon, the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike and the Erechtheum with its Porch of Maidens. Visit the Acropolis Museum.

Day 3: ATHENS FOOD TOUR
Discover another side of Athens which lies in the shadow of the famous Acropolis where a kaleidoscope of colors, smells, tastes and textures await. Visit various specialty food shops, colorful and alluring delicatessens, aromatic and tempting bakeries and sweet shops, restaurants, dairies, spice, grocery and pie shops where you will sample and taste the most traditional Greek food. A genuine Athenian food tour would not be complete without a visit to the vibrant central food market of Athens.

Day 4: ATHENS COOKING LESSON AND DINNER   
Free morning. In the afternoon enjoy a unique experience: Get to know the wonderful world of Mediterranean cuisine; the herbs, the fresh vegetables, the choice meats that we always use and learn the basics on how to prepare a full Greek Sunday dinner! The best part of the tour is enjoying the meal you have helped to prepare with a glass of wine!

Day 5 (Mon, Wed, Fri): ATHENS WINE TASTING
Did you know that Greece is the first European country where vineyards were cultivated and has a 4000 year history of wine production? After a morning at your disposal, enjoy an evening wine-tasting journey through Greece. Learn about the many different wine producing areas of the country and taste the most significant red and white Greek wines accompanied by some delicacies from all over Greece, carefully selected to enhance the wine tasting experience.

Day 6: DEPARTURE
Private car transfer to the airport for your departure flight. We hope to have inspired you to cook like a Greek and enjoy your memories as well as your wine like a true Athenian!
